I can't believe it's over, but it is at all levels from college to middle school for me. Lax has not had a big presence on this forum lately, I suppose because we have all been busy shooting, but I've enjoyed sharing with you all over the course of the season and thought I'd put up a few of my favorites as a tribute to the season; of course comments are always welcome as I have many more years of this ahead.

    Nice summary.

I've noticed not a lot of other forums have LAX either. Do you suppose it's a
lack of interest on the reader's part?

My daughters first year of high school lacrosse ended a couple of weeks ago. Now it is time for the travel team schedule...she will be leaving Atlanta and heading to tournaments outside of Chicago and another outside of Philadelphia during the summer months. I hope to make at least one trip and get some more LAX shooting in.

    Your pictures are GREAT.

While the sport is growing by leaps and bounds, it's still a "small sport" that is played in geographically concentrated areas. There is no lack of interest here, but most of the people who are particularly interested are, not surprisingly, lax shooters themselves. Oldtime, who was kind enough to post in this thread, gets to shoot Duke for cryin' out loud! bowdown.gif I just think people get busy with the season and get less active here on the forum.

Thanks so much. I don't know how old your son is, but there is outstanding lacrosse being played in NJ at all levels. I hope he thrives in the sport -- it rocks, and oh-by-the-way is not a bad way to get into some very good colleges. Good luck.

Thanks OT. I consider you the king of lax around here, so your compliment is much appreciated. I'm hoping my college-age player/son will hook up with a club for the summer -- lots of big time DI and high DIII players were involved last year, and my son is actually not embarrassed to have me shooting!

Fantastic shots here! you've captured all the excitement in the games (especially of my Bruins!). You excel at capturing the perfect moment, such as the game winning shot, the player diving into the crease, etc. These are amazingly sharp, too. What were you shooting with for the night-time shots?

1DMkIII with 70-200 2.8. But the most important tool for the night shots is Noiseware. No matter how much people talk about great high-ISO performance, these shots always need to be run through Noiseware, at least for me.

I don't see much lax being played and have never shot it, but I do recognize good shooting when I see it. Nice job thumb.gif I particularly like the couple w/ the goal keepers (#4 and 7).

Must be fun to have a kid playing college level ball.

Lots of fun, certainly a source of extreme pride, and a fair dose of anxiety mixed in! Thanks for looking and for your kind words. PS Lax is growing in SoCal, and will make it to the Inland Empire sooner or later!
