I saw the female RT head across the road the other morning and land on a pole. These were taken from a far far distance through a tiny hole in the branches, that is why some look like they are vignetting, it is the leaves.

A few minutes later here comes the male to get what it looks like is a thorough butt chewing..

#1 - Okay, were is that worthless bum, he was supposed to be home hours ago ?

#2 - Watch out !! You almost hit me !! Have you been out drinking again.

#3 - If I told you once, I've told you 1000 times, you have a kid to raise now !! You can't be out with the guys all night..

#4 - I know, I'm sorry honey, I will try to do better. But it was the the big game, how could I turn the guys down.

#5 - Just look at you, it looks like you've gained 10 pounds out carousing all the time.. get a job already.

#6 - Now get out there and go to work, the kid is starving and momma needs a new pair of shoes !!! (Yes Dear)..

HI Ric, It is pretty amazing. I haven't seen the male around in days (but when I go to the nest I only stay for a couple hours). Then she flies over to the pole and not more than 15 seconds later there he is.

These two are definitely in love. I see them fly together all the time, still locking talons or diving at each other. I see them sitting high in a tree side by side (I'm talking shoulder to shoulder) for an hour at a time.

I've never seen two birds spend so much time so close together over a 2 to 4 month period. They don't just hang together, they seem to interact with each other every time I see them. They act like teenagers in love..rolleyes1.gifrolleyes1.gif
