Devine Intervention held a concert to support our youth group's mission trip at our church Sunday night. They put on a great show, and the music was super. I shot a handful of snapshots during the concert. I have been supposed to do headshots for the band for their website, but scheduling has been a mess. I will be shooting a party in the same hall next weekend.
Enjoy....C&C as usual...

Gotta love #6 being a drummer myself.
Once again, great job Jeff!!!

, I used to play drums....but have moved to guitar in my old age. The drummer was in a tough spot to get a decent composition....smack between two music stands and guitar players. Thanks for looking!!

No tutorial needed really. All of the processing...except for the textures ...was done in Adobe Lightroom using some of the free presets that are available. One click edits. The textures were applied in photoshopCS3. The presets...I think....were "Matt's cross-process", "300", and "bleach bypass".
Thanks for looking!:D

I love #6 and #8 - I'm a drummer as well, so it's hard not to like #6

For #8...
My flash was located on top of one of the speakers just ahead of the stage, and located to my right in all of the photos. For #8 I had stepped through the side door and was peeking out the stage door behind the violinist. The strobe...actually speedlight...is now on my left and pointed at the stage. This gave me the nice rim lighting and semi-sillouette. The bonus was enough light reflected off the back wall of the stage to illuminate some of the faces in the crowd.

Thanks Heather...and it is my favorite of the night as well.
This wasn't in my original post, but was my second favorite....

Thanks Karrie. Is is a far cry from my normal processing, but I thought it fit the photos. The general setting of our fellowship hall is very...generic?...looking. The overlays definately changed that!
