These are part of the local choir near our house here in Perth. The magpies have a beautiful warble.

Is that a wild grape vine it's perched on?
Thanks Ric
It's not a wild grape, I think it might be either a Kunzea or a Melaeuca (native Australian plants), but I'm not certain on that.

Thanks Stephen Yeah moved back to Perth now after 10 years in Japan. Loving all the different birds around here, but have yet to find where the water birds are... Gotta wait till my car gets here and then I'll be able to get out and look around a bit.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
#2 & 3 Mike. We used to have a ton of Camp Robbers (Magpies) in Colorado. I haven't seen any here, just crows and ravens.. everywhere. Much different in color between North American and Aussy ones though.

Thanks Dave. I love these birds but find them hard to shoot. When the light is bright you blow the whites AND lose detail in the blacks.

Thanks Harry. The young ones are quite inquisitive and will come up to you sometimes.
