I will be at the Kenai Peninsula for about ten days in late July.
I will fly into Anchorage and drive down to Seward for a couple of days.
Then it will be five days in Soldatna at Marlows on the Kenai Fishing Lodge.
And finally, I will spend a couple of days in or around Homer.
Any tips about photogenic locations will be greatly appreciated.
I plan on hiking to the Russian River Falls, visiting the exit glacier, do a boat trip to the Kenai Fjords Park and look for some eagles around Homer.
I will be bringing two 1.6x bodies, 17-55mm f/2.8 IS, 70-200mm f/4L IS and 70-200mm f/4L IS lenses with a 1.4x TC. I will also have a monopod. I have in the interest of weight on the airlines, decided against a tripod. Plenty of memory, batteries, 550ex flash and a few filters will be my kit for the trip.
BTW, I'd love to photograph some bears but the high price of a fly-in bear trip is out of the question.
