I shot this in a barnyard from the road with a 400mm + 1.4 tc, so getting the whole bird wasn't possible. The background was horrible so I cut the bird out and layed it on top of a gradient background.

What a beautiful bird.

I've never thought of cutting out something and adding it to a different background....shows you how slow I am in the learning process What a great idea.

Awwwww too bad you couldn't fit the whole bird in the shot,
doesn't look quite right with it's legs and tail partly chopped off.

Maybe crop off the legs and some mor of the tail. I was messing with it on my monitor and it doesn't look so bad.
