Help id this lizard

These little critters showed up a couple of years ago.I dont know where they came from.
They are very skittish and hard to capture.
I had to use a 400 on them.

    thier head looks like a skinks of sorts but I will have to look them up.ne_nau.gif

    the only thing that looks somewhat the same is the great plains skinks or the checkered whiptail and both are out of your range.
