cap for thin 72mm filter?

First off, this is my first post, so I'll introduce myself: I'm Dan.

So I just bought a Sigma 17-70 and Tiffen 72mm thin UV filter. The cap, however, won't stay on the filter, and I'm just anal enough to want to keep the cap on my $50 filter. Hell, I'd be anal enough to want it to stay on a $5 filter.

So can anybody recommend a cap designed to work with this filter?

thanks,
dan

Since thin filters don't have front threads you can't use the clip style lens cap. What you need is a push-on lens cap, such as this one from B&H. That's the trade off when using a thin filter. In most cases a thin filter is unnecessary. I use a regular ring size UV filter on my Canon EF-S 10-22mm lens without any problem.
