arrow keys in photoshop cs2

hello,
i just switched to cs2 from my original cs version.
however, my arrow keys don't scroll through fonts. in fact, the up arrow key is mapped to the "&" and the down arrow key to ")", left to "'" and right to "'".
anybody know where i can look to get this to scroll through fonts like i'm used to having?
