This was my first shot from shooting with Harryb in the wetland he has made famous, last saturday.
Harry was kind enough to let me drive and all I could do was scare the poor birds.
This little lady snuck into the wetland and heard I was coming so she was trying to get the heck out of there.
Then we drive around the corner and see this pink think coming in for a landing.
This guy was catching some rays.
Harry's shots are better as are his captions but I don't think this was too bad of a turn out for my first try at birding and this kind of nature photography. What do you guys think. Should I stick to cars.

I think you are off to a good start. You did pretty well on a day when the birds didn't let us get too close and the lighting wasn't the greatest. Also your reached was capped at 300mm.
You did better with that deer than I did btw.
It was great meeting you and shooting with you. Hopefully we can do it again.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
