    Hope I don't sound dumb asking Don,
    but is this a piece of art on the wall, or, was there a building there and it's been removed and the image that is left is a reminder of what was once there headscratch.gif

    Not dumb at all! The only art here is the graffiti at lower right. What you see is the end of a building, now demolished, that is visible in the wall of an existing one.

    There are signs of two chimneys, and two upper floors. The rows of holes for floor joists are the signs. This was taken at the roof level of a building still there below this remains through the window of a second story restaurant space.

    THis implies to me that the original structure was likely five stories high to the roof line indicated in this image.

    There are more examples at the link I mention above.

    More PP could remove the graffiti and bit of greenery at the bottom, as well as straighten the sides, but this is a more documentary image in keeping with its story!
