Yeah a few... problem was airplanes... fly in the sky... and when you aim yer camera at the sky, it likes to darken everything down... and i couldnt use manual because sometimes the clouds went away and sometimes they were there... it was tricky to say the least..

So i'll try tomm, im gonna get there early at start of show and get a good spot. i was walking up/down and just ended up standing somewhere for some shots.. happened to be a great spot as they flew right at me...

Manual would be really hard with 360 degrees being your arena. No expert
but shooting the sky is some like shooting snow or bright sand. The camera tells you on thing and the exposure is wrong. What do your histograms look
like? Maybe using exposure compensation is in order. Generally speaking your
exposures look nailed save for a few just a wee dark.

I had to do a lot of PP. I didnt look at my histograms, dont really know how to read those. I had my exposure comp set to +1 i'll try a lil more tomm maybe +2

Here are some of my shots from the air show. I'm pretty happy with them. Much more so than my decision not to bring sunscreen eek7.gif

    C&C welcome and appreciated!

    Howdy Vycor,

I really think your images came out very good, lots of neat compositions and details.

I would be very proud to have those in my portfolio.
    Take care,

Nice shots... great shots. I hungout with a friend at the airport today. We left around 12:30 or so, and as I was driving out that first plane, the raptor is it? flew overhead, twice, HOLY CRAP the power that plane has, it felt amazing. I stopped to take photos but it was LONG gone, that sucker MOVES.

I'll try and get out next year to the beach for the photos.

Both you and Jennifer got nice shots. Were you two shooting together?

No, not together. It looks like Vycor was on the boardwalk while I was on the beach. Not that there was a bad seat in the house.

:D Hardly ever a bad seat at an air shot. I got the sunscreen setting out now. Thanks for the reminder. thumb.gif

Nice shots, folks! It was an intense few days for me - over 4,400 shots in all (loving the new 40D - arrived Wednesday!) Here are a random sample from what I've had a chance to process.

I took about 740 pics and whittled them down to 125. I'll link to them later, but I was extremely happy with them so it's hard to even post 10.
