Had to place a small plastic ring around him to get him to stop moving.
Original image is not bad for "looks" sharp. Minor crop here.
66 percent crop. I was handheld using table for suppor, direct sunlight
Both images show average best sharp across all the pictures I shot of him
as in this second image.

what shutter speed did you use,they do look a little soft.

I have tried the 420ex flash with no frills attachments. Flash was not used
on these photos as there was direct sunlight to work with. Was able to
maintain f11 or better.
My thanks also to Brian & courierman for letting me know what numbers
to dial in to use the flash.
I will put up some other photos using this Sigma 150 macro. Many using a
tripod. Michael
