OK, this wasn't supposed to happen.
There were a ton of great shots in this, and I didn't expect this.

    Thanks Jwear for the nod.

I will have a new challenge up in a couple of hours.

Thanks for the mention and the feedback jwear, I appreciate it!
I actually made the shot 'Feed me' look more harsh than it really was. The blue tit fledgeling and it's parent were sitting in a narrow beam of light, and I thought I'd shut the backround down to give it a 'hard work' look :D

This was a rather fantastic set of pictures in that thread! I had to hold on to my jaw on every page. Between us all, we'd have every bird photo compo there is in the bag. Stunning work!

    Congrats to the winners!

If your talking about Harry, he doesn't need to do any feedback here.
He does it on a daily (more like hourly) basis in the wildlife forum.

I know that Harry doesn't like contests. He's said so many times.
But I think this small little contest thrown together by us Dginners, and it being one of is favorite subjects,
it was just to much for him to pass by. :D

I'd like to thank all of you folks out there that are making these Mini Challenges fun.
Your feedbacks in the thread, the fantastic photos, always make it one of my first looks when I open the Dgrin site.

So keep it up, and keep showing off your best photos. (That's the reason you took them, right?):D

    CONGRATES TO THE WINNERS!
There were so many great shots!
Jwear I was curious about your statement "...but the exposure you got on the snow shot is something else".....Is that something good or bad? Just wondering if you think the snow is blown out too much. I live in Alaska and always try to balance out my snow shots in the camera. I am certainly not the best at it. I thought I did pretty good on this shot. Care to expand on your thought? Thanks!deal.gif

Golden Eagle / Osprey or Vulture ... u/s at bird ID ... although Sherwood Forest isn't that far away :)

Thanks for the T 10 nod ... this was really out of my normal 'comfort / interest' zone - macro ... problem now is that I've got one of the kids asking about custom xmas cards ...

Friendly, informal comp format, btw - thx for your time and well done to all.

I am sorry I did not comment more or at best in a more clear way ,but my written word skills are not great and dgrin and aol kept locking up when I was doing the final thread . The frustration was getting me :cry .If anyone would like a feedback on their shot or why I pick who I did I will be happy to do that ,

This idea of davev's is a good easy no frills contest ,with fun in mind wings.gif and if you have comments on the shots that are posted --lets the photogs know you liked thier shot and Jeff was crazy not pick that one as #1 rolleyes1.gif

Thanks to those that did post in the final thread thumb.gif

Geez, I entered my 3rd Dgrin challenge in 4 years and now you want comments? I'm having a tough enough time keeping up with the Wildlife Forum.

Outstanding job Jeff. Your only screw-up was not choosing one of my images as #1. :ivar

Seriously, excellent work everyone it was a pleasure to view the submitted images.
