What's strange is this is like a Segway with a training wheel... though Segways are ridiculously easy to ride.

In Portland, where I live, the cops use bicycles for this kind of situation. Bikes are much easier to use to hop curbs, faster than a Segway, easier to manuever in traffic, and much, much easier for crowd control (groups of cops will line up and use their bicycles as make-shift barriers).

Yep they had bikes, foot patrol and these thingys.

These days any event where, "Names" seems to bring out a big
