Canadian Superbike Championships - Rd 1.
Was planning on going to Calabogie for the Canadian Superbikes both Saturday and Sunday, but unfortunately I've got the world's worst headcold. Managed to make it Saturday, but felt like death warmed up by the time I got home so had to bail on going Sunday. As they say in the classics, Bugger!
Anyway, while the track itself looks very nice, there is almost no access for spectators. Originally, it was built as a trackday track and there's basically no facilities whatsoever for spectators. All you can see is about 4 corners from this monstrously high berm designed to reduce neighbourhood noise complaints. Means it is very, very difficult to get any variation in shots.
Enough with the whining, on with the show:
1. Jordan Szoke
2. Dan Henri
3. Genevieve Lesieur
4. Karl Daigle takes a tumble (rest of sequence on the website - he managed to ride the bike back to the pits)
5. Steve Bourdeau
For those warped enough to want to see more, the website is updated at: http://www.competitionimages.com/calabogie_superbikes_08.html
While the results from Sunday's racing (i.e. the day I was at home on my death bed) are at: http://www.cdnsuperbike.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=807&Itemid=194

benefit from more bike in the shot.
I'm actually quite happy with #1, but am a bit miffed I missed that final 2" of rear tyre on the shot of Ms Lesieur. Either way, I was going for very tight shots on both those - more about the riders than the bikes. There are plenty of full bike shots on the website, but I do understand that you were critiquing the shots I presented here and very much appreciate it.
Thanks again.

I would prefer to see the last one cropped so that the head is looking into the frame as opposed to looking outside of it.
Know what i mean?
I'll give your idea a crop, but at the moment I personally prefer the way it is now. However, I will definitely have a play your way and see if I like it or not. Thanks again for the thought.
