Before and After from Photography Class

My photography class had a "Outdoor Bridal/Engagement" type field trip, I was amazed at how well things turned out using the D300 in Commander Mode and a single SB-800 on a stand...easy stuff! Anyway we were doing a quick depth of field exercise and I was caught by the close subject's eyes, so I worked on it awhile. Definitely not whipping post material but was not too bad considering what I started with and how lousy I am at this stuff. Her name is Alev and is actually one of my fellow students (drives over 2 hours each way for this class, once a week!). D300, SB-800 on camera, 50mm @ 2.8. C&C Welcome and Thanks for looking! Oh yeah, I was in a hurry when I uploaded so they are very low resolution, sorry....

    Now that's improvement, especially going by what you had to work with. This really shows that they don't have to look like keepers in the cam to turn into one on the computer.
