Upland Sandpipers and Roadrunners
For the month of April, more or less, I had a visiting flock of upland sandpipers stay in the area refueling before heading up to the midwest. They foraged in large numbers in the pastures around my area for about a month. They have all left the area and I haven't seen one since the first week of May.
This was the last one I observed for the migration season.
The roadrunners have also been more active lately. These two pictures are from the same day, two different areas.

Now I will look to see if I can find these guys from Texas.
Thanks for sharing, Stephen.

Well, they aren't actually from Texas. They were just resting during migration. I think they end up in the Mid-West on into Canada for the summer then they head back to South America for the winter months.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
