wooHooo! Finally got a dSLR!
:ivar:D:clap:D:ivar
Got a trade-in on my Canon S3 p&s for an XSi/450D.
I just know you're so interested in my story so here it is:
I had a Canon Rebel film SLR and a few lenses back in the day, but had to face the reality that I am not a naturally highly gifted photographer, and surmounting the learning curve in a film paradigm required more than I could dedicate to it, so I sold my kit around 1997. Got my first digital, a Canon S30 (still a great camera!), in 2003, and immediately joined Smugmug The instant feedback of digital and the utter control of Photoshop completely changes the outlook on developing one's photgraphic skills. Really starting to feel the itch again, I upgraded to the S3 last Christmas. But then I started hanging out here on DGrin too, and, well... I'm just hurtin' to learn and pursue this art form.
IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT OK?
And I thank you most sincerely.
(Check the new Sig.!)
Peace,
Sanaka

Now let's get it dusty!
Now...what lenses shall be buy ?
Have a good day
Jim...
You might want to change the sig to XSi...vice SXi...as you have it now...
Congratulations...I remember when I got my first DSLR...a D70...I just put it on the bed and looked at it...strange, huh. A big step up from the point and shoot world. Now I have a couple of
D300's and think of them as just machines to take pictures with...although pretty nice machines...lol.

Well, if anyone's feeling inexplicably generous, here's my B&H wishlist
Man, you're scary Nikolai! But I promise to get on to some assignments soon!
Thanks all. I'm sure we'll be hanging out for some time to come....

Don't forget these also require the small caravan of albino pygmy Nubian camels to carry them and the unit of Sikh warrior bodyguards to keep them safe....

I am worrying that if I carry it and aim the VIP convey, I may be shot down by the mark man as they mistake it a RPG. I like the green color design but just a bit dangerous:cry

Don't you mean SXi Mark-IV by September...lol...the way things change...who can keep up. I have to check the Canon and Nikon sites every so often just so that I can follow the tech talk threads.
Have a good one.
