Ok, as close to macro as I can get without an actual macro lense anyway. These were shot with a 70-300 VR lense. I was in Dallas last weekend and made sure I visited the arboretum. These are my best close-up shots:

First two and the last one are real sweet!

The lighting is nicest in the last shot, though I like the shadowing on the first shot.

Nice work ...... thought about getting some Extention Tubes to let you get closer ???

Thank you all for the nice comments. Skippy, yes I have thought of buying extension tubes. I'm trying to figure out right now what to do. I don't know if I want to get tubes, telextender or just buy a macro lense. I know the latter of the 3 if the most expensive. I just don't know what to do yet. Some direction from you Macro guys would be great. thumb.gif
