First glance I thought "indian jones" probably because of the hat. I like the tone but it overall seems soft - possibly because of JPG compression. Also a little too symmetrical for me, like everything is arranged - i would love to see it arrange more haphazardly (?). Hope I'm being clear.
Thans for your comments!
Thanks for the welcome!
I agree on your remarks.
Softness is maybe due to jpg compression or because pic is a trim.
This is the original pic.

Richard, does it look better now or did I over do it?
I'm just starting to use Photoshop so any tips are very welcome.
Btw, the tutorials on the site are great!
Regards,
That looks quite a bit better to me. You might dial it back just a bit--the shadows look plugged along the bottom of the camera and there are blown highlights in the fishing reel at the lower right. But it's an interesting shot nevertheless.
A lot of cool elements to work with. Nice. How many different layouts
have you tried with them besides this one? I'd say watch your lighting
for blowouts. Also, since the camera is there do you have photo prints
that could be laid out in one of the layouts? Like B&W's with white border
prints. Someone showing the fish catch. Hope I got my meaning across in
my short order comment. D Michael
Richard, here's a new edit. Dialed down the contrast a bit and the sharpness a bit more. Think it looks better now. Thanks a lot for your help and for the welcome.
Michael, I'm working on several new layouts. The old B&W prints addition sounds great. I actually have some old shots that would work very nice.
Will post some images as soon as I shoot.
Thanks.

I think the process on the top image is off a little too light maybe?

I did not understand if you meant tha the B&W scene is too clear or the color one.
Bungee
I think Keith meant the B&W needs more contrast. I agree.
Thanks a bunch Richard.
