This is how it was done in the days of film, Great job finding the light and the composition is unique. The last time I was there the temperature climbed to 102 degrees during the afternoon so our chocolate chip cookies melted :cry making the plung into the cool water all the more dramatic
This image is brings it all back. The falls is named after an old Supai chief.

Thanks Marc...it took two days shooting at Navajo (and still more waiting) to get the right light with all three reflections on the water. I'm hoping to go back in the fall once the cottonwoods turn yellow...
I took the plunge on the first day at Navajo...unfortunately, my 5D and 17-40L were in my hands at the time. Luckily, no water damage thanks to a CPL and the lens gasket. Thanks for the bit of Indian lore...didn't know that.

Great job. If the aim of photography is to evoke emotional response to an image ... mission accomplished I feel more relaxed just looking at this photo. Regarding what it took to get your shot, I'd say it's not a bad place to sit around and wait for the light
