Or " How I will use my converters from now on."
I went out today with a D Reb 300, with a Quantaray 2x, a Tamron 1.4x, and
my Canon 70-200L f4 lens. The converters were stacked, or all 3 items were
on the camera at once.
I believe the tele converters should be called magnifiers.
If I shot something within 20 feet or closer, the pictures showed some promise.
If the object was farther away, it just didn't turn out.
So, I hate to say it, but if you want a longer reach, you'll need longer glass.
Some samples from today.
Rough guess, about 60 feet away. Yes it's been worked on. It looked really
bad before that. I had to manual focus this guy. There were to many other
branches in the way.
Now in this one, I was about 10 feet away shooting through a window.
I think this is what converters were made for. To bring something that is
close, just a bit closer.
