Florida wildfires, Palm Bay

Took a detour from a paying job today to shoot some post-fire images near Palm Bay, Florida. On Mother's day someone decided it would be a good idea to go around setting fires. The result is thousands of acres of burnt property, lots of houses lost or damaged, and a general mess. They got it under control after several days and caught the arsonist.

You really have to wonder what goes through peoples minds that they would even think about starting a fire, knowing full well they can kill

I'm so glad they caught the arsonist, sad to see this sort of thing goes on in a lot of countries including ours too.

The story is, he had some kind of problem with his mother - that's why he started the fires on "Mother's Day".

They caught a lady down that way starting a fire outside her apartment during the same time period because "she was bored".

Amazing.

June starts the "wet season" in Florida. We need it!
