    I like the second. The dark sky could use a wee bit of lightening to keep the
    eye focused on the rock face.

    I'm going to lean with David save to say two looks tonally fairly matched and
    works nicely as is. One does need a spot of work on the sky and the 90 percent of everything else is so right there. Sweet color & comp in both. thumb.gif

    In #2, I think the lines in the rocks draw you into the picture. GREAT.

    The composition on both is fantastic, I really like the second shot, I'm a sucker for the wide-angle vertical comps anyway, and this one is great, the foreground detail is really good, and there's a nice gentle s-curve leading the eye into the background). Usually I figure this stuff out after I take a shot, looks like you figured it out before, good work!
