Another clutch of baby spiders...

We have a dogwood shrub in the front garden and the moosus was looking for bees for me to try and get a piccy (there were none) but then she called me over and said look at these spiders (in a screeches-in-a-typically-female-I-found-a-fookin-spider voice) that were nestled together in a tight little ball at the tiop of one of the leaves.

Wonder what it must be like being in the middle of one of these scrums!!!

I'm glad this was in your yard, and not mine.... lol... great shot. I love how you can pick out individual spiders, and not just see them all as one mass.

    Thanks for sharing. :)

LOvely shot Paul- nice and cosy in the middle I should think. The scrum loosens up if it gets warm.

    Thanks Brian.

The "scrum" is in an exposed position. Today it is raining. I wonder what they are doing for shelter...

Hey there Paul... at a quick glance those spiders look like a flower head.

Wonder what the survival rate is for batches like that?

Pleasant shot to view it has a nice BG and color but I would patch the dark area on the bottom it draws your eye from the subject.

Thanks for looking folks and the comments.

Max, there are hundreds in a group, and scores of groups around the gardens here...

I think the future of spiderkind is secure, hehehe...
