Questions on offering a workshop?

Hi guys,
I teach some local photo clases in the winter & now that the weather is nice, I'm thinking about expanding into outdoor photo workshops.
Does anyone have any experience with this kind of thing?

A couple issues that come to mind:

Liability - should I have everyone sign some sort of waiver starting that I bear no responsibility for any accidents, etc.? I'm not planning anything dangerous, but some shoots may involve some hiking, waterfalls, etc.

Shooting in a State Park - If my travels should take me into some state parks, are there any legalities involved with me charging others to shoot there? Any permits required, etc.

Any tips, ideas, concerns that anyone can share with me? This is all in the initial planning stages...with the weather being so nice, I don't want to schedule anymore classroom-setting classes for awhile.

Thanks,
Bill

Yes, you must have them sign a liability waiver.

Parks often require commercial use permits and insurance. You should contact the park system to find out about their requirements.
