I have been working on getting my settings right so that I have a sharp image, how does this look?

I would say that photo is absolutely first class. What lens did you use and the settings.

Thanks! I have been working hard to improve the quality. Thanks to this forum, I have found the settings that made the picture like I wanted it. (Seneca helped a lot with the sRGB.) I have an Olympus E-510 using the lens that came with it. 40-150mm and I used manual ....shutter speed 1/180 and ISO 100

I Love this little lady's eyes. Blue and beautiful.

I think it definitely looks very sharp. As far as the image is concerned, my personal preference would be to chop a bit more of the head off to put the eyes more into the top of the photo, and to do something with the background as the purple and white distract me. But this is definitely just my personal preference.

    Nate
    Thanks,

Does the image look flat this time like my previous pictures?

I think I found all the good emoticons
    very nice
for a final I would agree with the crop that moves the eyes up, but that's just beside the fact this is a very nice image

Nice shot. cute kid. One thing that could make it better to my eye is to use something other than on camera flash. If it is an external flash, point it to the side and put some big white reflector surface there. The pic below was taken with just an external flash pointed camera right.

    I just lover her eyes!

Sharp? - yeah, her eyes are just "stupid sharp"! Might suggest a stopping down just a bit more (according to the EXIF, your aperture was f/5.1) to get a bit more DOF. But, well done there.

Is it flat? It's very hard to get depth in a photo that is illuminated with on-board/on-camera flash as the main light. To expand on the good advice from Josh, there are lots of other light sources around - how about the sun? Get her next to a window or some other light source. With this light source as your main light, and lighting her face from an angle other than straight on, you then use your flash as fill. That's just one way to get some depth.

I know I was amazed at the light enhancing quality of a reflector

I didn't use anything b/c I was just playing around with all the kids we had at our house. So it was just for fun.
