Can you fill me in on some details please?
ISO, shutter etc. Did you use a flash or are they even alowed near the ring.
Thanks for posting.
I go auto-ISO (may stop however), shoot wide open (f/2.8), center weighted spot (or matrix), shutter 1/500 when possible (1/400 else) and capture RAW.
Lighting is always tricky for these things and unless you have a fast lens, you're going to be frustrated. I wish Nikon had a f/1.4 variable zoom in the 28-70mm range, it would be perfect.
Most televised events have good lighting, somewhere in the 3000K range which makes for decent shutter speeds.
They are a little noisey and you could really tighten up the crop.
All and all... nice job.
John
Thanks for the comment.
Like you, I also have dual interests in both photography and mma. Out of curiosity, how did you first get involved in shooting boxing/mma events? Its something that I could see myself doing sometime in the future and would love some insight. Thanks in advance for you help.
