30 FREE NitroDesk Licenses..

NitroDeskNitroDesk Registered Users Posts: 38 Big grins
The response has been great!
As a further incentive, we are offering 30 free licenses - simply use coupon NITROSMUG when purchasing from within the application.

UPDATE: We have exhausted the 30 licenses (and more :-) ), but we are keeping the NITROSMUG coupon, but it now gives you 10$ off your order.

cheers,

Worked great for me and I'm LOVING the program! Works very quickly and is the best way I've found yet to make bulk keyword and title changes to lots of smugmug photos. wings.gif

    Doesn't Install

I tried Nitrodesk, but on a Vista machine, the Windows Installer hangs and the software never installs. So it is impossible to try it out. Tried it on two computers - same result. Oh, well, back to the reliable Send to Smugmug.

UPDATE: My bad. There was an Intel install task running in the background, preventing the .msi from installing. It's installed now and I'm going to take it for a spin tonight.

Great piece of software, thankyou very much! Finally a way to more easily organise my albums.

Try Smugfoto in Facebook for displaying your SmugMug galleries.

Hey! Bulk changing of category. That's cool!

Now I just wish you would improve the Albums view so that you can see albums:
    • Alphabetically
    • Date created (drat -- this isn't available in the API)
    • Date updated
    • Size (# of photos)?
    • Grouped by Category and Subcategory <-- THIS IS HUGELY IMPORTANT
    • With Name/Category/Date Updated/# of Photos, but without thumbnails. Similar to the Details view in Windows File Explorer

If I could choose just one of those, it'd be group by category/subcategory. This would make it much easier to move a whole subcategory of galleries to another subcategory or category.

If we could drag-and-drop galleries between subcategories/categories, that'd be a dream, but even if click/shift-selecting and dropping-down the menu is a vast improvement over doing this on the website.

    Thanks for the great work!

Thanks for the feedback darryl. Will add this to the list for the next rev. It is a little tricky, since the concept of categories and subcategories are not shared identically by other services, may require a SmugMug Specific hack!

    Darryl,
What do you think of this? Currently working on it, but this will provide you with the raw list of galleries/folders (first root tree node), a category tree, with allyour custom categories and sub categories (clicking on any will show galleries under it) with full drag and drop from anywhere to anywhere, as well as the old style property editing (dragging between categories for folders, and dragging between galleries for images.

Would that make a good V2 for you?
