They have now changed colour and growing fast,up to 2-2.5 inches now. most of these taken in bright sunlight+fill flash, sun really lights their colour up.

Hi Maxine, you must have missed " PART 1 " ,couple weeks ago, they are red-orange at first.
i bought the eggs, keeping them in a large tank/cage.
more varietys to come this year.

NO ,it looks more like a species of hawk moth,potato hornworm.
luna caterpiller is only 3" long,similar to mine but without the spikes and nobles. .only has hairs.
