...
The thing that made me more and more afraid
Was that we'd ground it sharp and hadn't known,
And now were only wasting precious blade.
And when he raised it dripping once and tried
The creepy edge of it with wary touch
And viewed it over his glasses funny-eyed,
...

I find this picture really creepy. I guess that is what you are going for. The eyes were removed in PP right?

I recently read a book on how the brain works and how our eyes are drawn to abnormal things espicially on faces. When looking at this picture, I find I cannot really see the whole picture. My eyes keep going back to the eyeless faces. The shot definitely has an impact, but it is a negative impact (which again is probably what you are going for). Why is that sheep staring at me? Can he stare without eyes!? Stop staring at me sheep!!!!

I'm definately going for a negative, or more accurately, a disturbing feel. I like ~some~ photos that show that things aren't always as we see them, and occasionally we slip into a dream state.

Desert Native American cultural studies into the use of the dream state (not hallucinatory) are my primary influence, but I've been ignited by the following artists (among many other surrealist and impressionist photographers and painters).

    Simen Johan
    Evidence of Things Unseen

    Ruud van Emple
    Works

Doing the odd and awry in greyscale is a great break for me from my usual.

Thank you. More than happy to kind of creep you out. :)

I must admit I never noticed until I read JPL post then and went back and looked and thought oh...........

The look is certainly in the mind of the photographer, certainly looks a little creepy

Thank you. I like doing things that effect people in ways other than, "how cute, how pretty, how beautiful, how wonderful, etc." ~A little disturbing is great!
