Today's Captures -- 6/6/08

Another cold and rainy day. Found a few things to shoot late today.

Cattail Misquito (Coquilletidia perturbans) hiding out under a leaf trying to stay dry.

A Tachinid fly (??) that still had woter droplets on its back.

An Augochlora Sweat Bee 9Augochlora pura) finally got one of these to sit still long enough to get close to it.

A Flying Ant (I assume it's a carpenter, since that's what we have right now)

    LOvely series of captures Gary :)

    #1 is a biting female mossie. Think #2 is a Muscid fly Coenosia species. Love the colur in the nursery web spider shot- was going to say the composition could be better but looks like you had a leaf on the RHS blocking the view.
