I finally caught my new neighbor the gopher tortoise out of its burrow.

Have fun,

Phil

Thanks Stephen. Yes, gopher tortoise burrows can be quite large. They vary from 10-40 feet in length and 6-10 feet deep. They're dug at a 30 degree angle and of course, the size of the opening depends on the size of the tortoise.

    Have fun,

Thanks Dave. Actually, "slow as a turtle" really doesn't apply to these guys. A speed estimate I saw put them around 3-4 miles per hour with faster spurts when making a dash for their burrows to avoid an annoying photographer.

    Have fun,

    Phil

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
