two grab shots in our back yard. This juvenile ( Blue Heron? ) was on a woodpile, and I motioned to the wife to grab the camera. Got these two before it jumped down behind the neighbor's fence.

Sheesh, I have to drive forever to find birds like these. Right in your backyard, huh? You and Harry should get along just fine..

Now that I've got that out of my system, those are fine captures you have there.

Nice captures! I think it's a juvenile yellow crowned night heron? Juvenile little blue herons are white.

Lucky capture.
I think this is one of the parents. This bird and another like it have been in the neighborhood for a few months, but this is the best I have been able to shoot of them.
