I went through "Antelope" last year with Sam, here's one I've worked with and would like your comments. I'm still figuring out PS and if that isn't a trip.
:scratch When in doubt....SHOOT IT!!!

Looks like some one trapped in the wall trying to get out
Your getting better, but I would mask of some of the dark shadow areas on the first image and adjust the levels. Although I used all 3 sliders I ended up increasing contrast a little, and lighting up the shadow area a little.
The second one is a little flat, and a little too bright in my opinion. Try adjusting the levels here as well.
I just nuged them around a little and they came out great.
Don't give up you just started.

Lower Antelope is a lot different to shot than Upper antelope. Compositionally it is VERY difficult to get shots there. Play around with layer copies of the images using multiply with masking. I have added some screen to some of my shots there but will rely a lot on a multiply layer with masking.
It is a fun place to shoot. How about those emergency ladders!
Cheers.
We didn't see no stinking emergency ladders. Must just be for the wosses who can't swim.
