Was walking beside the river high up on the bank.

Is it a land beetle, or a water beetle? Is actually as I suspect, a Dor beetle?

If land, what kind of habitat? Grass, flowers? What do they eat?

If water, do they live in running water or ponds? Clean water or stagnant? Feeding habits?

So many questions!!!

The one at the front is I think the female, cos the other kept chasing it and tried repeatedly to climb on its back!
