Beautiful giant leopard moth (Ecpantheria scribonia) stopped by for a quick shot today. About 2.75 inches long, and quite a stunning specimen.



Another hover fly captured this morning. I just love all the colors on these flies.



And a weed from the wife's garden that flowered.

The Leopard Moth has lovely markings on the wings,
the blue is quite striking too.

Love the second shot too, those little HoverFlies are great little subjects.

Love the first two shots- not mad on the flower the yellow is a bit blown.
Wonderful looking moth- would like to see a whole body shot of that.
Think the hoverfly is a Sphaerophoria sp.
