I was out in the wetlands shooting birds and stumbled across this little fellow. Actually, he wasn't little, he was mid-size, a 3 foot rattlesnake..

WHy do you all hate snakes? I wouldn't go near a rattlesnake, but rat snakes and corn snakes are adorable and fun to hold.
#2 has neat lighting and it's almost like he posed for you so you would go away. Snakes are more afraid of you than you are of them. For all they know you are some cyborg from the future here to skin them. Ok, not the cyborg part, but they think you're going to eat them.

I love snakes
This snake was peaceful and serene. He allowed us to get close and blast him with our fllashes, he tolerated this for almost an hour. The only time I heard him rattle was when I got too close (about 5 feet), this only happened once :nono

I love snakes.
