Swaledale Stone Byre Abstract HDR

I found the wall around the side of an old stone byre in Swaledale in the Meadow Land at Muker. The old stone and colours intrigued me and looked more interesting than the byre in its entirity. When I got it back onto the PC, I figured a HDR finish would give me some added interest and I think I like it more.

Nice catch! thumb.gif It looks like the colors we see here are a combination of the natual colors of the stone and lichens/algae grow on them.

    I like!

You either like the exagerated effect you can get with HDR or you don't. I like the subject matter here, and the composition, but the hyped -up colors are too much for me.

Looks like something that I would find in a fairy tale or in a fantasy kingdom.

    Well done! Love the colors!

I like this! It is obviously meant to be over done, but I like the effect you got. It reminds me of some type of fantasy childrens world. It woul make a great cover for a childrens book!!

Nice composition and again very thoughtful work... Like it much. iloveyou.gif
The HDR for color saturation does go too hot for me also. Has its place as
is but theres the but part. :D Minor thing. The few aqua color points are a
distraction for me. Like you went too far with saturation in one color plane
or so. Blah, blah. :D HDR's seem to do that. Too hot and back off
saturation in reds and yellow here and there as needed to taste. Minor
back offs. Really slight minor backoffs.

In PS .... Filter... Stylize... Diffuse... Anisotropic.... Hmmm Interesting.
You've already been there seen that done that probably.
    :D
