IPTC in downloaded images

Does anyone know if the IPTC data, whether it's shown (keywords, captions) or not, remains when a file is purchased for download?

I have copyright info in all the photos and want to know if it's still going to be there when someone purchases a digital download. Also like to have the caption that I included too.

Is there any difference between the 1 and 4 megapixel downloads vs. the original in this regard? Would the original have the data but the smaller ones don't because they are stripped out when smugmug creates the smaller files?
