Just read about a flickr uploader for blackberries.
Without going into a long rant, yes I know you guys love iphony, but for the BB users how about showing some love and providing a quick way to upload to our SM account.
(if there is a way, I didn't find it by doing a search of the forums)
Thanks

The email uploader might work until an app can be built: http://www.smugmug.com/help/camera-phones
I used to email photos from my Nextel phone until I found out my data plan did not cover it :cry

Yes you can email anything...I think with most provider there is a cost associated with emailing a pic. With Verizon I think it's .25 per picture.

Hi,
Been looking for a Blackberry upload app as well, and tried out the e-mail method detailed elsewhere. It works fine from my PC but images e-mailed from my Blackberry just disappear into the ether.
I did notice that e-mails from the Blackberry mark the attachment data as "application/octet-stream" rather than the "image/jpeg" mime-type. Might this be the issue?
Part header:
MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: application/octet-stream;
name="IMG00113.jpg"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
Content-Disposition: attachment;
filename="IMG00113.jpg"
Content-class: urn:content-classes:message
X-MS-Has-Attach:
X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft Exchange V6.5

I'm going to use Flickr for mobile support! Unlike Smugmug, there is a Blackberry Flickr app for uploading photos, and there is a great program called Jiveslide that makes viewing Flickr photos on the Blackberry even better than the iphone interface from Smugmug. The JiveSLide App actually lets you view galleries in a full screen slideshow format.
I still have to work out the details, but I think I will end up doing two uploads. One to Smugmug for my main site, and then a second upload of the same images in a smaller format to Flickr for viewing on the go. I may even tie my Flickr account to Facebook instead of using smugmug for that, since the Flickr integration with Facebook seems to be quite a bit better than Smugmug.
Anyways, just thought I would throw out the options I am going to be exploring for viewing and uploading pictures on the go! Maybe someday Smugmug will recognize there is a market out there that doesn't use iphones but would still like some support. (Actual company support that does not involve requiring 3rd party support) I honestly would have thought that my $150 a year would come with some options for mobile viewing and uploading beyond the iphone, but whatever...until then, Flickr here I come! lol...
SmugMug, is like family to me, I love them dearly but sometimes they frustrate me!
:cry
And Smugmug is the only thing I've found that can't seem to figure out how to accept photos sent from it... :-(

Thanks for the sentiment Andy... It's ok, I'll live. Luckily for us Blackberry users there are other photo site options out there such as Flickr that do have developed Blackberry apps for uploading and viewing photos.
I continue to look forward to the day when I can rely on Smugmug for all of my photography and don't need to look to someone else for mobile support.
What about non-Blackberry phones that can send pics to everywhere except Smugmug? They just disappear into nothingness, nothing ever turns up in the Email gallery.

More info...
The Blackberry sends info in a very strange way indeed!
The message is in a multi-part MIME, with the following structure:
1A: multipart/alternative message body
I've worked a solution by sending e-mail from the BB to an alias on my ISP, then using procmail to pipe the message through a script that merges the decoded body text and image data into a "known good" message header, as sent by Thunderbird.
Not the prettiest solution, to be sure, but it'll do for now. Someone who knew their away around the perl MIME module could no doubt do better.
Code available upon request...
I had my photos linked to facebook too once with some application but it wasn't great so I stopped it. didn't realize flickr did it-will check that out too.
Smugmug still remains my #1 for photo stuff though:)
