A few pics
Hi Y'all,
Haven't been shooting as much wildlife as I would like lately as the upcoming exhibit and other stuff has been keeping me far busier than a retired person should be. :cry
Anyhow I've gotten some time to process some older captures.
a black-crowned night heron - D3 and 300mm f.4 = 1.7 TC
momma otter and its cub - D3 with the 300mm f/4 and 1.7 TC
red-bellied woodpecker - D3 with 300mm f/4 and 1.7 TC
osprey - D3 with the 300m f/4 + 1.7 TC
crested caracara - you can see the radio transmitter on its back- the wildlife folks are studying the movements of the caracara due to its endangered status - D3 with the 300mm f/4 + 1.7 TC
anhinga chick with its mother - D300 with the 500mm f/4 + 1.4 TC
comorant - D300 with the 500mm f/4 + 1.4 TC
mom feeding chick - you can see a discarded egg in the lower right - D300 with the 500mm f/4 + 1.4 TC

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks Chuck
the night heron BIF was captures at 8:22 AM
the osprey BIF was at 8:23 AM (different day from the night heron capture)
the caracara BIF was at 3:05 PM
When I shoot at the Wetlands for a day I start around sunrise 6:30 - 7:00 AM and shoot until around 11:00 AM. Then I head home (I live about a 15 minute drive from the wetlands) for lunch and a Corona. I hang out at the house drinking and taking a swim until around 2:30 PM when I return to the wetlands and shoot until sunset. Its rough but someone has to do it. :ivar

That would depend on how good the capture is.
If the pic really sucks I would say "That sucks even for an Iowan photographer".
