What's the Jumper eating? is it a little cockroach?
I love it when you guys post images with Predators and Prey
Your little Jumper is very photogenic Phil ... cute little fella,
though the guy in it's mouth probably doesn't think so
Shining bodies and Flash are not easy to deal with.
Great series Phil, well done with the Predator/Prey Shots

Doing well with the focus stacks
Love the first spider shot and the the butterfly. The earwig is pretty unique as well with the tail threat.
WRT to bright reflections I think they are almost impossible to avoid with some bugs. More diffusion will help not to blow the spots but will not stop them. The only thing I know can work is just altering the flash/bug/camera angles so any reflective areas do not reflect light back into the camera. Having said that some bugs are just shiny and bright reflectives spots just show this. There is a technique where you polarise the flash output and have a polariser on the lens which can stop them almost completely but you end up losing more than 4 stops of light and the subject can actually look very unnatural.

The last one makes me cringe because it's so realistic and he can do some damage with that clamp! ouch!
