Halfway up the Sepulveda Pass, bridging West Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley ... The Pacific Ocean and the Santa Monica Mountains, stands The Getty Center. Inside, the museum isn't all that impressive, but out side the gardens and architecture are absolutely world class.

Sure.

Not sure how the wife would feel about that (she's been bugging me to go.)

Gary, sorry for the hijack. Carry on! :D

No reason to be sorry ... I really enjoy The Getty Center and The Getty Villa ... so much so that I'll invite myself ... so when are we going?

I actually never been to Getty Villa... Hmm. Is it the same deal with entry - just pay and go?

I'm going out of town last week in June, so It'd be July before I could do anything.

Gary

Hi Gary, I love those shots of The Getty Center, and the night shot too.
I really like that second shot of the building <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/emoji/nod.gif" border="0" alt="" >

Looks like you've stirred David and Nicks interest in going there with these shots <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/emoji/thumb.gif" border="0" alt="" > ... Skippy :D

with the reopening of the Villa in Malibu does one still have to book in advance for parking?

The Villa still needs an internet appointment thingie ...but The Getty Center is on a first come first serve basis.
