I need to learn to pan in time with a bike going at anywhere between 30mph and 130mph - it could take me a while :D Pointers from anyone would be a help - currently using an Olympus SP-550UZ superzoom.

Rest of the pics are in the various TT folders on my Smugmug here

I like the last one. The first and second, the action is too far away (they'd
    work better if oncoming too).

I've always been amazed by the TT. An amazing race for certain. Thanks for a

Yeah, oncoming would've been better - you can't really at that point, but I did do some at a different point, but as everyone is lining the bank, you have to hold the camera out away from your body, thus blur etc for me anyway.

This would've been a reasonable shot if I'd been able to hold the camera steady closer to my body - removing a tear-off at about 130mph having just overtaken the rider who started 10 seconds in front of him:

Man. At 130 stuff happens fast...I can't imagine doing that.

Big deal, I can do that on my dirt bike.mwink.gif

Those guys are insane. One mistake and you're into a curb or retaining wall.

As long as it wasn't a jump into a left or right hander, I'm good :D

Sometimes you land a bit heavily:

Bad photo, but shows the suspension compression

Picture from a previous year, but this is what you're faced with after landing:

The road comes in on a straight, then the bridge is on a left-hand bend, and the road goes slightly right straight away, with the edge of the pub on the edge of the road. Like this:

    So a jump from a left-hander, into a right-hander straight away....

    :D
