Losing exif in PhotoPaint

Help!! I have begun taking pictures in RAW with my Canon digital Powershot G5, converting them using Canon's Zoombrowzer program then processing them in Corel PhotoPaint v. 11. My problem is that whether I convert the RAW to Tiff8, Tiff16 or JEPG with exif in Zoombrowser, I lose the exif when I save the picture after cropping or other adjustment in PhotoPaint. This does not happen to pictures saved in the camera as JEPGs and subsequently processed in PhotoPaint. Does anyone know what is happening and if there is a way around this? :dunno

Thanks, Virginia

    hey Virginia....
I just cropped a photo that was Raw, processed with Canon EOS Viewer and then cropped and resized in photopaint. And still have all of my Exif data.

But I am using Corel 12, that may be the difference?

I can view my exif data from here "File - Document properties"

Maybe it is your other program?

Thanks for the input Dean. I use PP 12 at home but am presently in Paris for 3 weeks with a laptop and PP11. I suspect, though, from what you say that Cannon's Zoombrowzer program and the way it handles exif when it converts the photo from RAW to tiff or jepg may be the culprit. I'll check it out further when I get home. I really appreciate your taking the time to answser. Virginia

    Had the same problem...
...with PP9, but not with PP12.
