Sunset in smoke

Friday night we had sky covered in smoke from nearby wildfire, sunset was in surreal yellowish-orange tones.

    Great colors! Sorry it has to come at the expense of such destruction, but it does make for a lovely photo.

    Excellent choice in silhouette, too, and the mountain on the left just makes it all better. thumb.gif

    I love the colors. Very nice. Was this filtered, or is it natural (because it's really nice).

    I'm digging the color in this one. Did you find it hard to meter with the smoke blotting out the sun in this shot? Last fall when SoCal was ablaze, I found it especially tricky to get an accurate reading on my camera.

    I'm always surprised by the color created by the wildfires, but deeply sadden by sadden by the destruction they caused.
