I think this is a rather fresh view on a potentially dull subject. The flowers are a bit small, sure, but I do like how the bg is so out of focus. DOF indeed!

I really like how the colors make a gradient from dark to light from top to bottom, too.

It's an odd shot which is a compliment. As such, there is a lot of artistic license here that I won't comment upon. I've seen shots done poorly that try to do what you have done printed large and framed and hung on walls of corporate offices in Austin.

It's not my bag, but it is different and that gets clap from me.
