This was the girls last tournament before regionals. Went 4-0 in pool play and lost a heart breaker to our biggest rival in the final 1-0. They out possessed them and out shot them and still came up short. Sometimes the ball just won't go in the net. Five games in 3 days 85+ degrees is a lot for 12 year olds.

A few shots from the weekend. C&C always welcome.

Tough loss - it's hard being on the bottom end of a game like that - but good shots. #4 and 5 were my fav's

Thanks Colleen and 2whlrcr for the comments. I was hoping to get some critique on these. All were shot in bright sun and up until this year I would have used a -.3 to -.7 exposure comp. Always worried about blowing the highlights on the white jerseys. From the advise I have gotten here I have started trusting the histogram and these were shot with a +.7 EC. #6 was shot at +1. The exposure looks good to me but wanted to know what others think.

You have some nice shots, but they could be cropped tighter, especially #5. You have their feet cut off, so might as well trim more. The shot might be better if it's cropped horizontally and make it a torso shot. That way, their facial expressions are more emphasized.

Outstanding photos. Great job. What equipment are you using?. Also, I'm curious if EXIF info is available. I'd like to compare notes for future shooting.

Thank you for the compliment. I am shooting the Nikon D80 with the 70-200 2.8 vr and sometimes use a 1.7 converter. All of the galleries on my site have the EXIF info. (the link is in my signature) For some reason when I copy photos to another gallery the EXIF info doesn't carry over. headscratch.gif
